Milixa Morón is a Venezuelan-Italian painter and figurative draftswoman with residence in the US since 2013. She was born in Valencia, Venezuela, in 1967. She is known for her mystical, allegorical and symbolic pieces, in which she depicts characters or symbols from different eras, centuries and beliefs. She studied Graphic Design at the Instituto de Diseño de Valencia, and painting at the Academia de Arte Giovanni Battista Scalabrini, both in Valencia, Venezuela. In 2006 she went to the Academy of Realist Art (ARA) in Toronto-Canada where she did some workshops as well as the first level of the program. In early 2007 she started at the Angel Art Academy in Florence-Italy where she finished her studies in December 2009. At the same time Milixa followed the program "La scuola libera del nudo" at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. After settling in Miami-USA in 2013 she co-founded an academy called Chiaroscuro Atelier, which 5 years later evolved into a bigger project, which is today MIFA. During all these years she has participated in several salons, contests and exhibitions in different countries, such as the ARC salon competition in USA and Figurativas in Barcelona-Spain; and has won some awards and honorable mentions.
